All these events hit our faces like a slap in the face of the fact that we are quite conscious of using the internet. In this article, we will share with you the massive hacking events in history.

Jonathan James

hack

Jonathan James, one of the most famous hackers in the world, was arrested when he was only 16 years old. James still carries the distinction of being the first under-18 hacker to be tried and convicted in the world. James stole $1.7 million worth of software from NASA computers by placing a backdoor program on one of the computers in the US Department of Defense.

James betrayed himself when the International Space Station replaced it with humidity and temperature values. James, who was sentenced to 6 months of house arrest for being under the age of 18, was sent to military service in Alabama for not complying with the house arrest rules, where he served for six months. Authorities had predicted that if James was over the age of 18, he could face a minimum of 10 years.

In 2007, after his probation period was over, James was named after an attack on companies like TJX, BJ’s, and Barnes & Noble, in which millions of credit card numbers were stolen. Although James insisted that he had nothing to do with the attacks, the American secret service raided his home and the home of his family members.

Thinking that he would be punished for the crime he didn’t commit in 2008, Jonathan James committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a gun, and left the following note behind: “I have nothing to do with the TJX incident. I lost all faith in the US justice system, maybe my current action and letter will make a strong impression on the public.” In any case, I’ve lost control of this situation and that’s the only way I can regain control.”
