When the texts he wrote are examined, it is understood that he has a high level of English. Also, from some of the words he uses, it seems that he likes to use British English. In another detail found in the texts, it uses 2 spaces after the end of the sentence. The headline of a British newspaper found in the first bitcoin block published in another clue to his identity. However, these clues are not enough to be concrete proof of his identity.
Many business people, academics, journalists, and researchers speculate about this mysterious man, but it is impossible to say anything definitively. Here are a few of the people considered to be the founders of bitcoin.
Harold Finney
Harold Finney is at the forefront of the alleged founders of Bitcoin. Having dealt with many finance and software businesses in his life, this name has worked in areas such as decentralized financial structures, freedom, and financial freedom.
At the same time, Finney, who made the first Bitcoin transfer in history from Satoshi Nakamoto, was an early Bitcoin user and miner. He also changed the code for bitcoin and helped debug it on the bitcoin talk forum. However, he has repeatedly denied that he is Satoshi Nakamoto. Finney, who was diagnosed with ALS, died in 2014.
Dorian ‘Satoshi’ Nakamoto
In 2014, the US-based Newsweek magazine introduced a Japanese-born person named Dorian Nakamoto as the mysterious creator of Bitcoin with an article it published. The interesting thing is that the real name of the alleged founder of Bitcoin was Dorian ‘Satoshi’ Nakamoto. In addition to the similarity of the name, Dorian Nakamoto, an expert in physics, computers, and defense, was seriously touted as the creator of Bitcoin even in the news at that time.
At the same time, his neighbor with Harold Finney, who was alleged to be Satoshi, revealed the claims that the duo could be a team. Just during such confusion, an interesting development occurred that he did not expect. The real Satoshi, who was last heard from in 2010, suddenly appeared and published a short message stating that he was not Dorian Nakamoto.
Nick Szabo
Nick Szabo is one of those alleged to be Satoshi Nakamoto. A computer scientist and expert on cryptocurrencies, Szabo is also a law professor and cryptographer. Szabo, who started working on a decentralized currency in the 90s, has been accepted as one of the pioneers of Bitcoin with the Bit Gold project he developed but never realized. As it seems, Szabo, who is well-equipped for this job, is also the father of the smart contract concept that we come across in blockchain and crypto money systems.
Nick Szabo also never admitted to the allegations that he was Satoshi Nakamoto. However, despite the evidence that their initials are the same and the writing styles of the two names are remarkably similar, Nick Szabo still denies claims that he is Satoshi.
Craig Wright
Wright, an Australian computer scientist, introduced the beta version of the cryptocurrency on his blog in 2009 when no one knew what Bitcoin meant.
For this reason, Wright, who is thought to be the founder of Bitcoin, remained silent against these claims for a long time. However, Wright, who interestingly declared that he was Satoshi Nakamoto at a Bitcoin event that took place towards the end of 2015, claimed that David Kleiman, a computer forensics expert who died in 2013, also had a significant share in the development of crypto money.
Gavin Andersen, the person to whom the real Satoshi transferred the Bitcoin security keys, who made statements at that time, stated that he was largely convinced that Craig Wright was Satoshi Nakamoto, but that he had some question marks in his mind. This was because Wright claimed to have access to Bitcoin’s security keys. However, Wright was never able to prove this claim.
In addition to these people, many names such as Adam Back Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Michael Saylor are among the alleged founders of Bitcoin.
