NASA Halts SpaceX Decision

There is talk that NASA’s project to re-send humans to the moon will be halted for a while because of competition between SpaceX and Blue Origin.

SpaceX was the company NASA chosen as part of Artemis mission. The decision irked Jeff Bezos and the space company Blue Origin. Also, NASA would pay SpaceX $2.9 billion during the Artemis mission.

NASA chose SpaceX but did not please Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon and Blue Origin. Blue Origin even started protesting. Because Blue Origin was waiting for the Artemis mission to be given to two different companies. But because of the high budget limits, making them the second choice, SpaceX took mission.

According to this decision, Blue Origin said: “NASA’s decision eliminates competitive opportunities, significantly shrinks its supply base and jeopardizes America’s return to the moon.”

Dynetics also opposes the decision because it was the only other company to be selected in the process. Dynetics also opposed SpaceX decision frozen over.

However, when we look at the achievements in space, Spacex’s decision is the most successful. Because SpaceX can send astronauts to the ISS on a regular basis. Furthermore, SpaceX is doing well in smooth satellite launches.

Elon Musk’s response to Blue Origin’s objections was not delayed. Musk laughed and noted that Blue Origin has not yet launched a satellite into orbit.

After these events, NASA may initiate a review, and a new decision may come. I hope NASA considers its achievements in space in its decision.
